I am a multidisciplinary artist, based in Lisboa, who uses cooking and drawing as mediums to develop a research on expression, identity, human connection, food literacy and ecology.

I have always been known as someone who draws, and over time, became someone who cooks, incorporating this practice into my work. Drawing has evolved into a way to express cooking, and cooking, in turn, has become a means of self-expression, both through flavor and visually.
I have always been inclined to try things I am not naturally good at, but wished I was. This drive to improve helps me shape who I want to become, and it plays a significant role in influencing my artistic practice.
I use plant-based ingredients as a starting point for both drawing and cooking.
I aim to share a way of cooking that makes space for improvisation, deconstruction, play, and flavor, and simultaneously inviting you to become familiar with a plant-based, seasonal, and root-to-stem kitchen, a way to reduce your negative impact on the planet. Being a more creative and connected individual, is entangled with the connection we build with the planet and all living beings.
I graduated in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL) in 2015 and have worked as a freelancer ever since. I began my professional path as a designer and illustrator, but food gradually took a central role in my work. The transition from drawing recipes to creating and cooking them became the foundation of Criatividade ao Lume.
Through workshops, experiences, and creative facilitation, I keep challenging myself to look for ways to go deeper and getting to essential questions about who we are and how we do what we do; about attention, care and connection, but also freedom and expression.
